Duke’s Mayo and Charlotte Sports Foundation Extend Duke’s Mayo Bowl and Duke’s Mayo Classic Sponsorship
(CHARLOTTE, N.C.) — Today, Duke’s Mayonnaise and Charlotte Sports Foundation (CSF) announced an extension of the brand’s sponsorship of the Classic and Bowl games in Charlotte, NC. Duke’s has been adding its signature Twang! to college football since becoming the title sponsor of the annual events in 2020. They have won the hearts of fans and created memorable and fun experiences for observers and players alike, including the highly anticipated ‘Mayo Dump’ on the winning coach of the Bowl game.
“We are proudly extending our sponsorship as the title sponsor of the Duke’s Mayo Classic and Duke’s Mayo Bowl,” said Joe Tuza, President of Duke’s Mayo. “This partnership allows us to activate the Duke’s brand around our role as the Official Mayo of the Tailgate, celebrating the perfect union of food, football, and southern traditions. As we continue our partnership with the Charlotte Sports Foundation, we look forward to playing a role in tailgating and the excitement of college football with fans in Charlotte and across the country.”
Since 2021, Duke’s Mayo sponsored football games have been attended by over a quarter of a million people and generated over 92 million dollars in estimated economic impact for the Charlotte region. Additionally, the games have been viewed by a television audience of over 16 million people.
“Our relationship with the Duke’s Mayo team is amazing and we are incredibly appreciative of their continued partnership,” said CSF executive director Danny Morrison. “We believe we have the best title sponsor in college football and look forward to building on the terrific momentum of the Duke’s Mayo Classic and Duke’s Mayo Bowl!”
